Red Star Raceway has been bringing enthralling racing, quality spectator value by way of well organised and supported events, quality training and wholesome family fun, entertainment and participation to the racing scene since 2009.
Consisting of a 4km world class racetrack, Pit areas, Pavilion, Xpress Shop, Conference facilities, Canteen, Picnic area with Swimming pool, Accommodation and Camping facilities as well as Storage space for racers and their gear.
Red Star Raceway hosts a minimum of 23 major events annually, which include Racing, Club Race Days and Corporate Events.
Membership numbers have increased exponentially over the years and Red Star Raceway has become one of the most popular venues for racers within the racing industry.
The track is equally popular for its Car and Motorcycle Track days. Red Star Raceway hosts
Track Days mostly on Wednesdays, Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays for Motorcycles as well as cars, with the last Sunday of every month only being available for car racing. On Saturdays and Sundays the track is only open for motorcycle racing.
Pre-booked Corporate Days take preference over Track Days.
The facility accommodates riders from beginner stage to C, B and A class riders, and has produced, along with its exceptionally experienced staff compliment, many great racers and racing Champions.
On Track days riders from all skill levels can come enjoy the day with the help of experienced instructors.
Red Star does not exclusively cater for experienced or long term racers, but believes in the development of new and young racers. The annual SAMRA (South African Motorcycle Racing Academy) Youth camp is held and hosted at Red Star Raceway. These trainees are youngsters from the age of 6.
Beginner Level 1 and Level 2 training is offered at the track, facilitated by highly skilled and experienced trainers, and we pride ourselves on the design that our trainees will be able to ride competently after only 1 DAY of training.
The track consists of 5 straits and 13 corners and is said to be one of the most thrilling tracks to race. The direction of racing is switched every six months to increase the racing experience.
There are marshals on duty on all track days as well as race control and medical facilities on site for your peace of mind.
