Mental disorders rank among the most substantial causes of death worldwide. Services and opportunities for people with mental illness and their families and carers can and should be better and more accessible. One – third of South Africans experience a mental disorder in their lifetime. With limited access to psychiatric treatment in the public health sector. Counselors, like myself, play a significant role in the front line of treatment for depression and anxiety. Our services are relied upon in assisting people with mental health issues at a primary health care level for improving family and work life by relieving distress and mild symptoms of common mental disorders such as anxiety and depression. Treatment could very well make a significant impact for people living with untreated mental health problems. My mission is to equip my clients in becoming their own Life Coaches by guiding them through processes of identifying their emotions and patterns that are causing them to live angry & frustrated. Furthermore, I help my clients develop the skills they need to deal with life as it is.
